Research initiatives at the Copeman Neurosciences Centre balance the need for physiological interventions and psychological treatment. The goal of the research centre is to become a valuable and active participant in trials with innovative new drug therapies, as well as a world leader in the development of tools and interventions for the early detection and treatment of mental illness.
The Centre is focused on:
- Conducting clinical research in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders
- Studying the effectiveness of preventive mental health strategies – emphasizing early multi-model intervention for optimal health.
- Studying the importance of the mind/body connection and linkages between good physical and mental health.

Becoming a participant in a study or trial at the research centre can not only help us find the most effective treatment program for you, but it surrounds you with a team that includes psychologists, psychiatrists and other health care professionals. Enrolling for research programs also entitles you to ongoing interaction with the centre for education and the latest news on research initiatives at the Centre and throughout the world.
