  • Coaching can be a stand-alone intervention, or it can be combined or with other modalities. Programs invariably combine mental health with physical health and are guided by general practitioners who work alongside the mental health team.
  • Coaching helps people achieve optimal productivity and live full, happy lives. It promotes emotional well being and energizing, growth-oriented life activities.
  • Coaching supports disease prevention and management, and includes education and support in the areas of nutrition, exercise, medication and emotional issues. Although professionals have long recognized the importance of diet, exercise and drug intervention; behavioral, relationship and psychological factors are often ignored.
  • Coaching produces and supports therapeutic lifestyle and behavioral changes through greater holistic healthcare knowledge and skills.
  • Coaching provides the opportunity to improve relationships and emotional health. It helps a person and their families deal properly deal with emotional difficulties.
